Puial de l Douro grew from the wish to restore an old family house in Aldeia Nova and bring it back to life. The renovation kept faith with Mirandese architecture, preserving granite walls, original wood and the traditional layout of the courtyards.

Fábia, the host, welcomes every guest as she would a friend at home. She makes the jams, chooses the bread of the day and suggests the best trails, viewpoints and restaurants around.
